required skillset
I have a colleague who is in involved in some procurement procedure, where we supposedly won the procurement but can't staff up with relevant and competent developers, since the technique used on the platform we are supposed to maintain and migrate is built with open source components.
Most of our developers are familiar with Azure and Azure alone, Microsoft products in the Microsoft mono-culture.
The colleagues are desperately hunting for developers who has worked in Java, knows open source components A, B and Z. Customer has requested most things to be migrated to "equivalent" Microsoft thingy .. which might or might not exist.
I've been asked questions about certain components, I've worked with them but it was a few years ago and haven't been using it since. Requirements are a complex combination of skills in different areas, I check a few of these boxes but not all .. I think they will not find many developers within the company that has the width and can check all boxes.
