Medicated depression, day #911
I have 11 days left on the weight loss pills before switching over to injections, I got the injection pen the other day along with syringes for it, haven't watched the instruction videos yet, but have asked for links to them, I guess they are just Youtube links.
I shared with a friend yesterday about my journey with weight loss medication, as they seemed to also be on such a journey themselves -- my start weight and my progress this far, 3 weeks into it. I think it has a good progress, 6 kilos lost without much effort.
I've been told that when I switch to injections, that there will be a significant change in loss, it will go faster. I'm not too concerned by the weight loss .. I just don't want a lot of flappy skin, I hope it will go back, but I'm not that particular about my looks either.
I've started to look around for some other job .. as I feel my current position does not feel like I'm being kept around, they presented me with an ultimatum, "Get thinner within 3 months, or GTFO", pretty much. I don't know if they can do that legally, but if they are going to do that sort of stuff, I might as well leave .. but I like the company, it has a good culture and vibe, a hard focus on continuous learning and even large conferences spring and fall were almost all colleagues participate, either as just participants or they hold talks about what they have observed, learned or experienced -- sharing views and knowledge.
Been at several companies that just promise such things but never delivers on them .. empty talk. This company actually does something and a lot of something.
But I guess everything has it's time, heck, I've already been there almost 5 years already, my usual cycle is 7 years.
I've been buying second hand books about technology I want to learn more about .. among them several books about C-programming, kernel-programming and some about embedded environments .. ARM and RISC-V environments to be picky. I hope to gain more knowledge and get some hands-on experience .. I want to carve metal again, really low level stuff. C-code and mixed in assembly. Yup.
