Medicated depression, day #1001

I'm about 5 months into a weightloss program, taking Wegovy and have lost about 12 kilos this far. It has done a lot for my health and I feel a lot more healthy and strong, lighter .. but, there is always a "but".

I'm very tired during the days and some days when low on stimuli, I doze off, not sleeping but dozing off, like I'm aware of my surroundings and such but I can't keep my eyes open.

I have gotten some indications that it might be blood pressure medication in combination with antidepressants and weight loss medication. Need to talk to a doctor about this.

I got an ultimatum back in June, basically "loose weight, or get fired", I got the option to walk out of the office then and there, just getting terminated on the spot, or 3 months to prove that I could change and loose weight, I did, 3 months and I lost 10 kilos. The last couple of months has been a bit up and down, since my body got used to the dosage and required a slightly higher dose, started on that last Thursday.

I never got a confirmation that I was accepted or didn't got terminated after 3 months, information flow in an IT company is sometimes the suck.

But I'm still there, still loosing weight.

I've been toying with the idea of loosing 20 kilos in total and then give them the finger. As I found it rather toxic to put ultimatums like that, and it even came from an HR-person. That is so fucked up.

Next weekend we're going to meet up at my dads place, my family and brothers family, to go and put a candle on moms "grave" (she was cremated and spread in a memorial grove).

We might also meet dads "girlfriend", a lady in her 70's that he met on a group travel they both participated in, going to Spain. They have been meeting for a couple of months and she's in a similar situation as my dad, widowed. She's alone in a big house as well but have her daughter(s) near by, with their families.

I see no harm in it, I know that dad is lonely being all alone in his house. It's not like they are getting married or having kids or anything, they are just lonely and seeking each others company.

I asked dad about some paperwork, so that I can take over as a guardian when and if things happen, he thought is was a good idea and I emphasized on keeping my brother in the loop so he knows what is going on, as my brother lives across the country and has 5-6 hours by car to show up at dads place if anything should happen, I have about 1 hour.

Well, that's it for tonight.
